THE FLORIA V. LASKY SYMPOSIUM

On April 28, 2012, the Jerome Robbins Foundation, in partnership with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, will host for the not-for-profit cultural community the inaugural Floria V. Floria V. Lasky (1923 - 2007) was a leader in the field of entertainment law and a lead partner in the law firm Fitelson Lasky Aslan & Couture.  A master negotiator, she represented such clients as Jerome Robbins, Jule Styne, Elia Kazan, Tennessee Williams and Carson McCullers.  With a career spanning more than six decades, Floria was an inspiration and mentor to generations.  This inaugural symposium, and the presentation of the Floria V. Lasky award which follows, are dedicated to her commitment to the cultural life of New York City.
